How do we protect ourselves without losing our tenderness? What does it take to build trust and reliability? How can we better handle conflicts?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are the questions we want to explore with you during Queer Action Weeks 2026. But sometimes everything also contracts, becomes too cramped, and we slip into rigidity, self-destruction and mutual destruction, flight, and fractures.<br>In this 3-hour workshop, we\u2019ll take an honest look and try to get closer to answers to questions like: What makes conflicts in our communities so unique? Which dynamics keep repeating themselves? What do we need to be able to still &#8211; or once again &#8211; be with one another even after things have fallen apart, perhaps not in complete harmony, but at least fairly?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Greg\u00f6re brings 7 years of experience as a mediator in queer scenes, and has personally struggled through several conflicts. Whether in Bautzen, G\u00f6rlitz, or at the CSD in Dresden: Neo-Nazis organize \u201ecounter-protests\u201c against Pride events and attack participants. For many, traveling to and participating in these events has become less of an empowering experience and more of a threatening situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this skills training session, we want to practice dealing with such dangerous situations and protect ourselves as a group from attacks at and around demonstrations. And our queer history inspires care and tenderness within us: at its best, queer community also means taking responsibility for one another and building mutual aid structures beyond the state and systems of power. What does it take to live up to this ideal? What does it take to be resilient in times of crisis?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We want to discuss these questions with our guests from queer self-organized groups and allied struggles in order to learn from one another. Whether it\u2019s grassroots union organizing, feminist struggles, trans mutual aid networks, or cultural self-organizing by BIPoC queers\u2014there are many organizations in our city whose perspectives and experiences belong at the same table.
